about  me

My career journey

I’ve always been labeled as a “creative” but I never fit into a specific box. Over the past 35 years I’ve had many interests, including acting, interior design, fashion, photography, writing, and travel, to name a handful. I’ve never felt like a master of any of these though, more of a dabbler.

In college I interned in fashion and interior design for Ralph Lauren, Teen Vogue, and Lonny. My dream for a long time was to become a creative director of a magazine or fashion brand.

After college I moved to New York and my first job was in public relations, working for my now business partner Carla Nikitaidis at her boutique PR firm, CMN PR. Social media was taking off and I was in charge of our clients’ social strategies and content. I taught myself how to take decent pictures, conduct interviews, and use Photoshop. I developed content franchises, directed photoshoots, and established online identities for these small businesses. Creative directing and creating content became my area of expertise and this allowed me to weave in my love for editorial work with my PR role.

I took this expertise with me to Gap when I joined the in-house global social media team. I styled lay flats, took pictures, wrote copy, developed concepts for social media campaigns, and learned how to present my ideas to a corporate team.

When I moved home to Houston in 2015, I felt like I had left the center of the creative world, which maybe I had. But I slowly met talented and interesting small business owners who I could help through my experience and network. I started my PR and content consulting business KWH Creative and have since helped numerous local brands gain national exposure and credibility through press, influencer partnerships, branding and content.

In 2020, Carla and I co-created All You Need Method. Thanks to social media and the changing media landscape, there is so much small business owners can do on their own to build their brands and get the word out about their businesses before they’re ready to hire an agency or consultant. We teach them how to do this through our online courses, workshops, and content.

My story is still in progress, as most of us likely feel, and I’m excited to share with you as I continue carving my path. Outside of work, I love curating experiences, from hosting a dinner party to planning a trip and decorating our 1930s Houston Heights home. While I love to travel and go out to dinner with friends, I’m an introvert and am most content at home with a good book. I love being mama to our 2 year old daughter Annie James, and couldn’t do any of this without the support of my loving and very patient husband.

Please reach out to say hello!
